Mullen Steel Guitar Features: The Mullen Steel Guitar under carriage has a clean design making it very easy to service aa well as make pedal setup changes. Cross rods are anchored to the front of the guitar cabinet to keep end play to a minimum at all times. Cross rods have a floating feature on back side of the cabinet allowing the end play to adjust automatically for temperature and humidity even while you are playing.
The Mullen Rollers and Roller Nut Support Assembly are precision machined to Mullen's exact specifications. Tolerances on Rollers are machined to one half of one thousandth. Rollers are machined from brass and designed with an extended center hub as well as mounted on a 3/32 diameter shaft to help Eliminate side drag.
The Mullen Steel Guitar Pickups are designed exclusively for Mullen Steel Guitars. The Pickups are designed to match the characteristics of the Mullen Steel Guitars. This can be an important feature to help achieve the ultimate tone and response from a Pedal Steel Guitar.
The Mullen Steel Guitar Changers are designed to pull on center. This stops the Changer Levers from twisting when pedals or knee levers are pushed. The Rollers are Anodized to prevent strings from wearing grooves. They are also machined with a string slot and a shoulder to catch the string end in case of string breakage. Each Raise and Lower Lever operates independently in a slot machined in a Steel Changer Return Stop Plate to insure perfect alignment and a rock solid return position.
Each Return Spring incorporates an Adjusting Screw easily accessible at the end plate. Mullen guitars are detailed with components not found on most guitars today. Details such as these make the Mullen Steel Guitar a guitar you can be proud of and enjoy playing.
